RSL

Queen + Paul Rodgers

O2 Arena, London - 13th October 2008

I arrived in at the 02 around about 3.30pm ready to queue for the gig, I was really looking forward to it after I heard good things from the first gigs in the UK. I was really impressed with the 02 dome; like a small village in a big tent. I got to the queuing area around 4 pm, and was very surprised by how small the queue was! I had a good feeling that I would be closer to the front than the last tour in 2005.

At around 6pm everyone stood up and moved forward ready to go in to the main hall. Around about 6:30 we were let in; overall the organisation was very impressive. A short wait after getting through the checks we were let in. I was amazed at the sheer size of the venue, amazing! As I fast walked toward the stage, I aimed towards Brian's side, as I could see there was only one row. With a little bit of luck a gap opened and I was at the front. Then the hour and a bit wait!

But the wait was worth it! The Cosmos Rocks intro played and then Brian, Roger, and Paul appeared after, and went straight in to Hammer To Fall and Tie Your Mother Down! The sound was superb, Brian's sound had changed from last time, was a lot warmer and creamy tone from the AC30's

Paul was in fine form as was Brian and Roger. what a great gig, you had to be there! Also had a special guest on the night... During Comos Rokin.. Al Murray appeared! A big thanks to Queen and Paul and to the o2 for a great night out and a brilliant gig!
