Queen and Adam Lambert

O2 Arena, London - 12th December 2017

Having missing Queen + Adam Lambert on their only UK date last year at the Isle of Wight festival, with the announcement early on in 2017 of a new European tour, myself and my partner bookedtickets to see them in London at the O2.

This tour saw a new stage, with the walk way and stage being a slight take on the Red Special, the set list was geared towards the News of the World album which is celebrating its 40th anniversary which is why Frank the robot plays quite a big part in the stage design.

A great evening out Adam in fine voice, and great vocal range certainly suits some of the early Queen catalogue of songs. He also made a nice statement during the concert to those who are very against Adam and Queen touring with him, of which there are a fair few sadly on various social media and forums, but I feel he made a good statement to those who do not like him. He is a fan and still a fan of Queen music, and for those who say I ain'''t no Freddie.. Well, obviously!

Roger and Brian did their own singing spots on Love of my life, I'm in Love with my Car, Under Pressure, and It';s a Kind of Magic certainly highlights especially Love of My Life when Brian asks the audience "Come on London lets see your lights, you know what I mean...". The lights of thousands of mobiles lit up the O2 arena; amazing.

Of course all the well known songs were included in the set list for the O2, as this was the first of 2 nights at the O2.

If you ever get a chance to go to one of these concerts, make sure you do, as it's a great show.
